Regain Control of Your Workplace in 2022
Like so many business operators, the last two years have felt like a roller coaster of ups and (mostly) downs. 2020 showed all the promise of a strong year for Confluence before everything changed in an instant.
A thriving coworking space is inherently vibrant and social, so to know our community members ended up back at home (where they likely started before finding Confluence) was disheartening. A hearty few continued to come to the office, which allowed us to keep the doors open, but positive news about an end to the pandemic was often fleeting and setbacks were usually lingering around the next corner.
What we noticed along the way was that member enrollment tracked very closely with the ups and downs of pandemic news, case data, and public health policies. It was clear that people were challenged working from home and wanted to come back when they were relatively comfortable in their surroundings. By the second half of last year, momentum began to build again.
As another surge has recently peaked and things are looking encouraging again, the community has embraced our vaccine policies and seems more ready than ever to share the coworking experience. While it’s too soon to say we’re back to pre-pandemic usage, Confluence seems poised to have a very positive year.
Coworking industry trends support our optimistic outlook. Companies have shed costly office space in favor of technology that allows employees to continue working remotely, but for many, home-bound isolation is wearing thin. If you’re fortunate enough to have a dedicated space in your house at all, you’re probably growing tired of a fifteen step commute to the basement office or the spare bedroom. If you’re sharing a small space with a growing family, the distinction between work and parenting may become increasingly blurred.
Work and the workplace have fundamentally changed. Each individual has a different threshold for blending business with the rest of their daily experience. You can connect from home when you want and find an alternative when you’re ready for some separation. Opportunities are available for anyone motivated to change things up. Confluence has created several membership options at different price points for variable levels of use for private offices, coworking, and meeting space.
Life is too short to be at the whim of ever-evolving circumstances. Take control of yours and create a solution that makes you happy, healthy, and productive.
